Harakiri for the Sky é uma banda austríaca de post-black metal formada em Salzburgo e Viena em 2011 pelo vocalista JJ (Michael "V. Wahntraum" Kogler) e pelo multi-instrumentista Matthias Sollak, ex-integrante da banda de black metal Bifröst. Eles lançaram seis álbuns de estúdio - Harakiri for the Sky (2012), Aokigahara (2014), III: Trauma (2016), Arson (2018), Mӕre (2021) e Scorched Earth (2025) - pela gravadora alemã AOP Records. A banda colaborou com diversos outros grupos da cena post-black metal, incluindo Heretoir , Alcest e Austere.
A banda fez uma turnê ao lado de Der Weg einer Freiheit e The great Old Ones em março de 2016 e tocou no Summer Breeze Open Air no final daquele ano. Para apresentações ao vivo, JJ e Sollak são acompanhados pelo baixista Thomas Dornig, o baterista Mischa Bruemmer e o guitarrista Marrok. Em 2017, eles foram indicados na categoria "Hard & Heavy" do Amadeus Austrian Music Awards.
